A bird in the hand

This may be my favorite thing I have made in a long time. It’s an eighteen inch square gallery wrapped canvas painted with acrylics.

This piece has layers and layers of warm tones in various designs for the background. I then layered white and shades of blue over the top of that. I’ve featured TCW stencils #729 12×12 inch City Buildings and TCW #398 12×12 inch Squiggles. I’ve used a white posca pen to outline the squiggles in some sections. I always like to add a touch of black so I’ve applied a few black circles throughout.  The bird gives a fun focal point.
